I am a naturalised UK citizen, but have left the UK 3 years ago and I am not a tax resident in the UK.Question 1:I would like to help a dear friend of mine who is a UK citizen to purchase a home by giving them a large cash gift to the tune of 50k.Would she be liable for tax on that? I am reading conflicting things. There are no Income Tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash giftgenerates interest or dividends. These would then potentially be subject to tax.
