Entergy: 189K customers still without power as of Tuesday night due to storm (2024)

Entergy Texas says its crews have made progress in restoring power after heavy rain and strong winds from Hurricane Beryl caused widespread outages. By 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, about 189,000 customers remained without power, a significant decrease from the peak of over 252,000 outages reported on Monday.

Crews are working continuously and aim to restore power to 50 percent of affected customers by the end of Wednesday, July 10. While many customers may have their power back sooner, the estimated restoration dates below indicate when the majority of those who can safely receive service are expected to be back online. The following information was shared on the Entergy Texas outage viewer app.

Location specific information:

Conroe Network(Includes Montgomery, Panorama Village, Willis, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 57,000 customers without power in the Conroe Network. There are currently 125 workers in the area to assist with restoration. The specific challenges to restoration efforts are downed trees and vegetation.

Damage assessments are 40 percent complete and have found:

• 28 poles down
• 24,300 feet of downed wire
• 25 damaged transformers
• 41 broken crossarms

Since the last update, crews have successfully restored power in the following locations: areas between FM 3083 and Loop 336, areas around FM3083 and Frazier.

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations: Grangerland, FM290 between FM1485 and FM3083, FM3083 south of FM290, FM242 west of Old Houston Road.

Woodlands Network(includes Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah, Woodloch, and surrounding areas)

• 32 poles down
• 37,200 feet of downed wire
• 14 damaged transformers
• 37 broken crossarms

Crews have restored power in Sterling Ridge Subdivision, Alys Luxury Living, and are actively working to restore power near Oakridge School Road, Jetoma Rd and surrounding areas. Estimated customers restored 4,103.

New Caney Network(includes Huffman, Porter, Roman Forest, Woodbranch, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 30,000 customers without power.

Damage assessments are underway and have found:

• 19 poles down
• 27,300 feet of downed wire
• 24 damaged crossarms
• 3 blown transformers

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations and surrounding areas: Along Gasoline Avenue to Bethal Baptist, Grace Lane, Lazy Pine Drive to North Wood Country Drive. Subdivisions: Summer Hill, The Heights, Riverwalk, Cumberland, Brookwood Forest, Northpark Woods, Porter Mills, Timberland, Valley Ranch, Country Village. Estimated customers to be restored 8,200.

Cleveland Network:(includes Patton Village, Plum Grove, Splendora, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 20,000 customers without power in the Cleveland Network. Noted challenges are vegetation issues and truck access.

Damage assessments are underway, with 30 percent complete, and have found:

• 35 poles down
• 60,000 ft of downed wire
• 16 damaged transformers

Crews are actively working in various locations, with focus in Plum Grove Rd & Paul Campbell Loop, and the Splendora area.

We are still actively scouting other damages in the surrounding areas.

Huntsville Network(includes Corrigan, Groveton, Madisonville, New Waverly, Normangee, North Zulch, Trinity, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 16,300 customers without power in the Huntsville network. Roughly 10 major cases are identified throughout the network. We have additional crews and workers in route from out of state to assist with restoration.

Downed trees, vegetation, damaged poles and power lines are the cause of most of the outages, especially in Corrigan/ Groveton area.

Damage assessments are 75 percent complete and have found:

• 15 poles down
• 49,000 feet of downed wire
• 7 damaged transformers
• 40 broken crossarms

Crews are actively working all locations throughout the Huntsville Network, including New Waverly and along Highway 75, with additional crews in route to assist.

Winnie Network(includes Anahuac, Bolivar Peninsula and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 9,200 customers without power in the Winnie Network.

There are flood waters, tree damage, road access issues, and the need for special equipment at Bolivar Peninsula.

Damage assessments are 75 percent complete and have found:

• 10 broken crossarms
• 14 poles down
• 3 damaged transformers
• 5,400 feet of wire down

Crews are actively working at High Island and 6^thstreet, Highway 65 at FM 1410 intersection, Loughridge Drive, 2518 FM 562, Todd Road at Eglin Road, multiple locations along FM 563, McBride, Jackson and Le Blanc Roads.

Crews have successfully restored power to 2439 Highway 124, 2723 FM 563, 15708 Hwy 365, Indian Trails Dr and 2447 FM 563 in Anahuac.

Beaumont Network(includes Bevil Oaks, China, Nome, and surrounding areas):

There are approximately 3,500 customers currently without power.

A restoration team of nearly 150 people are working together to make repairs and turn the lights back on for our communities.

Damage assessments are 70% complete and have identified the following damages:

• 25 poles down
• 34,200 feet of downed wire
• 11 damaged transformers
• 15 damaged crossarms

Since our last update, crews have successfully restored power in the following locations: Maida & Helbig St. area and Highway 105.

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations: San Anselmo St., Todd St./Josey St., Ave A, Red Oak Ln., Auburn Dr and Pinewood subdivision.

Dayton Network(includes Ames, Baston, Daisetta, Devers, Hardin, Hull, Huffman, Liberty, Saratoga, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 5,600 customers with out power in the Dayton Network.

Downed vegetation and truck access are slowing restoration efforts.

Damage assessments are 13 percent complete and have found:

• 16 poles down
• 16,200 feet of downed wire
• 7 damaged transformers
• 16 damaged crossarms

Since our last update, crews have successfully restored power in the following locations: Dayton Park Apartments on TX-321, Cherry Creek Road,

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations: Liberty off of 563, Moss Bluff off of FM 563/Magnolia Ames Substation, Woodland Hill off of HWY 321.

Orange Network(includes Bridge City, Pine Forest, Pinehurst, Rose City, Vidor and surrounding areas):

There are approximately 2,700 customers without power. Noted challenges are vegetation issues and truck access. There are not enough linemen available to perform the work and a foreman has to accompany the crew. There are duplicate tickets that are having to be cleared manually and materials are unavailable.

Damage assessments are 30 percent complete and have found:

• 6 poles down
• 9,600 feet of downed wire
• 5 damaged transformers
• 1 damaged crossarm

Crews have successfully restored power in the following locations: N. Easy St. & FM 1131, FM 1131, Church House Rd., FM 1136 & Arledge, Hwy 62, Rebel Rd.

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations: Highway 1136, Hwy 12, Hickory, Aloha, and Sutton impacting 575 customers

Silsbee Network(includes Kountze, Lumberton, Woodville, Hardin County, Tyler County, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 2,100 customers without power in the Silsbee Network.

Damage assessments are 63 percent complete and have found:

• 6 poles down
• 30,900 feet of downed wire
• 9 damaged transformers
• 22 damaged crossarms

Since our last update, crews have successfully restored power in the following locations: Wingfield Dr., County Road 4470, Peck Road, Pecan Lane, FM 92, East Nature Trail, Rolling Hills Dr., Swinney Road, Highway 69 North of FM 3065, Walton Road, Michael Loop, and Mormon Church Road at Neyland.

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations: Edna Dr. at Masterson Road, Yellow Wood Lane, Callahan Road, Jake Patton Road, FM 2827, Merry Mark Dr., FM 1943 West, Gore Store Road, West Deer Str., Highway 327, County Road 4492, County Road 4510, and Haynes Loop.

Port Arthur Network(includes Port Arthur, Groves, Nederland, Sabine Pass, Taylor’s Landing, Port Acres and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 400 customers without power. Nearly 9500 customers have been restored.

Damage assessment is 75 percent complete and has found:

• 9 poles down
• 10,800 feet of downed wire
• 13 damaged crossarms
• 6 damaged transformers

Serviceman and vegetation workers are working to safely restore power in Port Arthur on Waco Ave., Lewis Dr., Gulfway Dr., 58^thSt., and Procter St.
