Entergy Texas says its crews have made progress in restoring power after heavy rain and strong winds from Hurricane Beryl caused widespread outages. By 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, about 189,000 customers remained without power, a significant decrease from the peak of over 252,000 outages reported on Monday.
Crews are working continuously and aim to restore power to 50 percent of affected customers by the end of Wednesday, July 10.
